Ways for Kids to Earn Money when Coming Out of a Recession

In many cases, kids and teens have little understanding as to how bad our economy has gotten or what that even truly means. Like many of us, your children will get to a certain age at which they will become more inquisitive about money and will start looking how they can make their own. Unfortunately these days there aren't that many jobs out there for them, thanks to the high unemployment rate.
Lots of positions that used to be taken on by avid teens are being filled by adults who have either lost their jobs or just needed an extra income to make ends meet. But there are a few paths to earn money that are fairly recession proof and suitable for the more youthful generation as well.
One good way for children to earn a couple of dollars is by filling out online surveys. Adults should help kids find legit sites so that they won't waste their time. As you are most likely aware (you may have already experienced this personally yourself), there are plenty of scammers out there on the internet and your children are prime pickings for their straightforward way out. Often if somebody has been scammed by a company you can find out pretty fast by searching their name. Though surveys may not pay out a ton of money, perhaps $1 - $5 per survey they're a superb way for kids and teenagers to earn a little additional cash for themselves.
Another recession proof method to earn cash (which may even grow as animal owners are finding themselves having to work longer hours than what they did previously prior to owning a pet) is dog walking. This is a great way for kids to earn money because it can be done either before or after college and has the flexibility for your child to choose how long they would like to continue working in the business. This way you child won't give up their adolescence in the place of earning a few extra dollars.
Ultimately, another great way for kids to earn an income is with a blog. Many PC age children are finding themselves doing this today and it is far easier than many realize. A child or teenager can simply come up with a keyword in relation to a subject they enjoy and start a free blog in which they can write posts about the subject.
With these few ideas you may be confident that when your child asks how they can earn some money, you will have a downturn-proof solution for them.
